Diving head-first into the Art World

It's official, I have scheduled my first ever Art show! Not only that, I have scheduled my next 5! This is something that I've always wanted to do and never really got around to doing it. I am starting with a huge run, printing and framing 26 different images which I may in the future offer for sale through the website as well. Most all of the images are from the main website, or at least have been at one time or another. I'm printing mostly 20x30's and some 16x20's

Thoughts on Annie Leibovitz's book "At Work"

So reading the book raised a question...do I need to be looking at famous photographers' work? Annie references her influences like I should know who they are, or what she's talking about. Reading this book is like having a conversation at a museum with one of those horn-rimmed glass wearing guys dressed in all black that speaks with a fake british accent.

Obama makes the cover of Spider-man

I'd be remiss if I didn't acknowledge comic book characters like Peter Parker and Jimmy Olsen for making it seem cool and adventurous to be a photographer. That being said, who's your favorite fictional photographer? There have been plenty portrayed in books, tv, and film, pipe up in the comments below and let us know who you like!

How do you approach and photograph a stranger? | 6 tips for "Treasure Hunting"

I do this very often, and I thought I'd use this space to give a couple of pointers about how to approach a stranger that you want to photograph.
